About me

I'm Odette, but you can refer to me as Dottie. I'm a 21 year old Australian. I'm a person of many hobbies, which led me into creating this website. I've only experienced coding in high school, so I like to classify this website as a fresh start at it. I'm both a private and expressive person, so I like to keep my real life private while desiring to showcase my talent to the world.

I've always loved to draw ever since kindergarden, although I can't say the same with reading. Fortunately, I grew to apprericate books, perhaps even more than manga. However, my love for manga will always remain, just like my love for games. I hope you enjoy the content that I pour my heart into and I also hope you have a lovely day.

Art Questions and Answers

"What inspires you to draw?"

Ever since I was a child, I've wanted to draw comics. Through my desire for comics, I motivate myself to improve my art by drawing. Sometimes it is a draining process and that is okay.

"What drawing software do you use?"

I use Procreate on my iPad, but I hope to use Clip Studio Paint once I'm more confident in my skills.

"Do you accept commissions?"

I don't think I'm at the skill level to start commissions. However, I will consider drawing requests, yet I cannot guarantee that I will approve them. I'm the sort of artist who dedicates a lot of time to their art, meaning I can't hurry an art piece, otherwise I don't feel satisfied with it.

Merch Questions and Answers

"How do you produce merch?"

I use Vograce to create my charms! It is a wonderful art manufacturer for beginners. There are many options on Vograce, from standees to stickers.

"Where should I sell my merch?"

Your starting platform depends on three factors: your budget, social media following, and ability/willingness to market yourself. The main websites for merchandise are Shopify, Etsy, and Kofi. Shopify and Kofi requires you to advertise your merchandise to the public, whereas Etsy will advertise for you. Like how Shopify is similar to Kofi, Shopify is similar to Etsy since both have monthly fees. Shopify has the most customisation for your website, but, in return, it's the most expensive.

Kofi is the least expensive, with the fees only being optional. As a starting point, I recommend Kofi and switch to Etsy once you gain enough customers. It is all up to you. But please remember that your worth doesn't equal the amount of customers you have - there are plenty of sellers who remain in the starting stage, including myself.
